Medical and non-medical equipment worth 74’271 KM was handed over to the Primary Health Care Centre Banjaluka during the ceremony organized on 23 November 2017. The equipment will be used for provision of improved community nursing services by
40 nurses who had during the past six months undergone education and practical training, for which an amount of 116’717 KM has been granted.

After the opening speech of the PHCC Director and Chief of Family Medicine Cathedra Prof Dr Gordana Tesanovic and the address of ProSes Manager Ines Katic-Vrdoljak, the nurses were presented certificates by Milan Latinovic, the Hospital Care Department Head at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republika Srpska and Maja Zaric, Senior Programme Officer for Health Domain at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This support has enabled a better approach to community for nurses in the PHCC Banjaluka and better provision of services related to treatment, disease and complication prevention and health promotion. Their priority is to work with patients with chronic diseases and the most vulnerable.
