After several months of intensive work, the process of aligning the first-cycle curriculum of nursing care at the University Dzemal Bijedic in Mostar with EU Directive on regulated professions has been completed.  With the support of regional experts from Croatia and Slovenia, working group members  have aligned the curriculum with all standards, inter alia, increased the total number of study hours until the minimal 4,600 and practical training to minimal 2,300 hours.

The University of Dzemal Bijedic is the fifth higher educational institution in BIH that has modernized and harmonized nurse education with project support, thus certainly contributing to the quality and safety of the services provided to healthcare beneficiaries.

The revised curricula have already been adopted and implemented at the Medical Faculty in Banjaluka, Faculty of Health Studies
in Sarajevo and School for Applied Healthcare Sciences in Prijedor. Their implementation is expected in the coming period at the Medical Faculty in Tuzla and the University of Dzemal Bijedic.
