A workshop to mark the beginning of the implementation of professional supervision within the healthcare system of Republika Srpska was held at the premises of the Primary Health Care Center "Sveti Vracevi" in Celinac. This important event was organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska and the Association of Supervisors of BiH, with the support of Fami Foundation and Strengthening Nursing in Bosnia and Herzegovina project.

The introduction of supervision represents an important step in improving the quality of healthcare services, professional development of healthcare professionals, but also preventing burnout at work, which is becoming increasingly common among nurses. Through this support model, significant emphasis is also placed on increasing patient satisfaction, as the end users of healthcare services.

Over the next six months, three supervision groups from the Primary Health Care Center Celinac will work with certified supervisors, in line with standards of the European Association of Supervisors. Supervision will be implemented through monthly meetings, group works and continuous professional support, aiming to strengthen team cooperation, personal development and professional resilience of healthcare professionals.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska also addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of this program and the Ministry's strategic commitment to improving working conditions and supporting the development of healthcare workforces in line with modern European practices.

This supervision model represents an important contribution to strengthening the healthcare sector at the primary healthcare level, as well as an example of good practice that is planned to be expanded to other healthcare institutions throughout Republika Srpska.
