Selma Sinanovic, Tuzla

PhD student at the Nursing Faculty in Sarajevo
Charge Nurse of the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology at the University Clinical Center (UCC) Tuzla
Senior Teaching Assistant at the Department of Health Studies at the Medical Faculty in Tuzla

I chose this profession because I enjoy working with people and helping them. I also like research and I learned a lot about it at my master's and doctoral studies, as well as about other areas important for my daily work.

After completing my doctoral studies, I plan to continue working at UCC Tuzla and I expect to progress in my academic career. In my lectures I use all that I have learned to teach new generations at the Department of Health Studies, as well as my colleagues at the UCC Tuzla through continuous education programs that I take active part in. I am not leaving BIH and I would like to do as much as possible to inspire future generations to do the same. I want to be a part of the education reform, strengthening of nursing and its promotion.

I believe that a lot can be improved in that area and that nursing can be developed as a profession and a science. Also, in my opinion, there should be more hours of clinical training included in the curriculum. Further, it would be great to have a BIH scientific journal and I think ProSes could play an important role in initiating that.
