The First Symposium of Nurses in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place on 26 – 28 October 2018. This event was
attended by 261 participants from 52 health and educational institutions and NGOs, as well as a number of foreign guest from the region.

The participants had opportunity to hear 52 lectures and to participate in professional ILS and BLS workshops on immediate
and basic life support. The agenda also included the topics related to the migration of health professionals from BIH seeking jobs abroad and necessity for improvement of the position of nurses in BIH. Discussed issues and presented topics showed that there is still a lot of room for improvement in health sector in order to provide high quality services that both patients and
health professionals deserve to have. The Symposium was also an opportunity to acknowledge the nurses who gave special contribution to health service provision.

Foudation Fami / Strengthening Nursing in BiH Project was the general sponsor of the Symposium along with other sponsors that provided necessary financial means.
