A working meeting to assess the possibilities of implementation of the planned activities within the Community Nursing Improvement Program was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Policy of the Central Bosnia Canton.

Representatives of primary health care centers from several municipalities of this canton, Public Health Institute and the Health Insurance Fund attended the meeting. The focus of the discussion was on identification of specific needs and potential for improving community nursing services, especially in municipalities that have been recognized as priorities for the introduction or expansion of these types of nursing care.

Representatives of all relevant institutions showed a high level of readiness and commitment to mutual cooperation and a partnership approach in the realization of common objectives. The possibilities of integrating the planned activities into existing health and social services were discussed, as well as the resources needed for their successful implementation.

Concrete steps and a timeframe for the implementation of activities will be defined in the coming period, continuing intensive cooperation between all stakeholders involved in this process.

This meeting represents another step towards the systemic strengthening of community nursing, aiming to ensure high quality, more accessible and efficient health care for entire population of Central Bosnia Canton.
