A Center for Continuing Education for nurses from health institutions across Republika Srpska will be established at the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska. This initiative is part of Strengthening Nursing in Bosnia and Herzegovina project implemented with the support of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska. The purpose of the Center is to improve the professional capacities of health professionals, and consequently the quality of health care services for all citizens of Republika Srpska.
A Memorandum of Understanding for improvement of nurses’ continuing education was signed on the International Nurses Day by Ena Bucan, Director of Fami Foundation and Vlado Djajic, Director of the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska. Milan Latinovic, Assistant Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska was also present at the event along with the representatives and associates of both institutions.
As part of this joint activity, the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska will provide space for training, while Strengthening Nursing in BiH project will provide necessary equipment and professional and technical assistance in developing an annual training plan for nurses in Republika Srpska.
